there are animal footprints

follow them and go to the west

the castle is at the end of the road

 

this is the beginning of Edinburgh

first humans built the castle and the road

and then expanded like a net

developed from a small town to a big city

 

before it was well-constructed

the wolf, the deer, and the squirrel

might have visited this space a long time ago

 

on such a noisy modern street

it is hard to find their trace again

only when we stop and listen

sometimes there are animals voices

whispering when the cars pass by

just wait patiently

they might pop up at a quiet moment

to be heard
