*remember to switch the sound on

there is a man-made loch

at the foot of an extinct volcano

the shallow pond was a  garden plan built by a prince

the swans swimming on the lake belongs to the Queen

the clean water was once a marshland

back to much a long time ago

when the volcano was still alive

the land was melted by the lava flow

then cooled down during the Ice Age

the loch was formed by red magma

became a sapphire of royalty

but turned into a shade of turquoise

blue-green algae had covered the shore

the feed to waterfowl

accidentally contributed to the algae's growth

however

the waterbirds have no place to hide

even if the volcano exploded

they would swim on the flow as usual

wait for a hearty meal
